Before going further I would say just read MODELS PART — 1. This blog is about the USE OF MAY and MIGHT that are part of modals. Furthermore, A MODAL is a type of helping verb that is used to express: ability, possibility, permission, or mood. Moreover, There are a variety of models:-

can, could, may, might, should, would, must, about to/suppose to/going to, use to, used to, ought to, need to, dare to, has to/have to, had to, might have, must have, should have, would have and could have.

Moreover, today we will learn USE OF MAY and MIGHT only in this part-2.

MAY

MAY always talk about your POSSIBILITY, SUGGESTION, and PERMISSION, It only uses in present and The word MAY always use it with an elder age group or position. FOR EXAMPLE:-

  1. MAY I COME IN? (PERMISSION)
  2. MAY I HAVE YOUR PEN? (PERMISSION)

2. It MAY RAIN TODAY. (POSSIBILITY)

2. THEY MAY COME TODAY. (POSSIBILITY)
